I normally wait to pick up bathing suits once they reach their cheapest in August but I am about to go on vacation and needed some new pieces. Luckily, Victoria’s Secret was having their semi-annual sale which I have previously told you is my obsession! So here’s the scoop: I got two bottom pieces on clearance for $10.99, then I got a sale top and applied an extra 20% off coupon (it works because it was on sale NOT clearance), and then got the matching bottoms on sale also. I also used a free shipping coupon. Overall, a pretty good bathing suit sale haul! The sale is still going on so check it out! BTW, they are still running the free shipping over $50— code on site 🙂
Love the Naked line!

Getting a coupon for a free item always feels glorious with a side of heck yea! Then once you go to the store to redeem, it’s very easy to get distracted by shiny, glittery and hot pink things. So here’s the scoop to sticking to your $free.99 budget and only shopping for steals!
I picked up this sweet little clutch at The Limited where it was on sale for $26.99 (Originally $49.99) and the store was offering an additional 40% off. Then the manager was sweet to me and gave me an additional 10%! Total for this mod, mint, crisp clutch? $13.50!
I’m going on vacation soon and have been keeping an eye out for a cool passport holder. I love this deep mint/turquoise hue plus it’s bright enough to stand out in your bag so you can quickly grab. I found this one at Marshalls for $4.99!
My final grab was this white, linen and crochet coverup at Marshalls. At $19.99, it was discounted (originally $45) but not clearance. That being said, I think it’s a perfect combination of resort and a trendy summer staple so I went ahead and got it for my upcoming cruise. Very Parisian chic, no?

Couponing- a hobby that goes back generations yet continues to evolve thanks to digital technology. My grandma use to sit around her kitchen table and browse the grocery store’s weekly circulars like a hawk, skimming the pages to discover the best deals then plan her shopping trips around those items. Fast forward to present day where digitally available coupons combined with smart phone devices has transformed the way shoppers save. A few keystrokes into a search engine can help you discover deals on just about anything, eliminating the need for you to hunch over and comb through papers. So here’s the scoop: stash your scissors and download one of these apps which can help you save at the check-out line but also save you time by doing all the work for you!
Here’s a recent clearance clothing haul from Express. I think the theme to this purchase is “Some like it hot pink!” because I couldn’t get enough of this hue. I will tell you that this is one of the only times I have ever paid for shipping and that’s only because my local store didn’t have any of these items. I also didn’t hit the $125 minimum required for free shipping, ugh. However, the savings were too good to pass up so I had to suck it up and pay for shipping. As for the clearance prices, all the items were an additional 40% off so each piece actually ended up being $17.99. The dress was clearly the best deal here and I think it will be a great night out dress and could also work for daytime by just adding a black or bright blue bold blazer.
